During the winter months a turbo trainer becomes an invaluable tool. It does not just replace time missed out on the road because of the weather or dark nights, rather it can become a key part of your winter training base.
However to make the most of it, you need to do sets which help you towards your goal. Then you need to make these sets progressive to ensure you keep getting the training benefit from them. To simply keep doing your favourite sets will not maximise the training benefit for you.
